Merve Gündoğdu began her career in 2009 as a translator, and shortly thereafter transitioned into the field of Human Resources. She has held various roles as HR specialist, manager, and director across different industries, specializing in strategic processes, team leadership, performance, and talent management.

Throughout her HR career, she has worked with companies in diverse sectors such as FMCG, logistics, engineering, and manufacturing—designing and implementing HR strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of each industry. She has led numerous projects in strategic human resources management, recruitment process design, performance management, training and development, employee engagement, and corporate culture building. By managing HR teams in organizations of varying sizes, she has gained extensive and well-rounded experience.

Alongside her career, she actively contributes to social responsibility initiatives by mentoring young professionals and university students. She participates in various mentorship programs, sharing her knowledge and guiding individuals through their career journeys.

As of September 2025, she decided to bring her 360-degree HR expertise into consultancy and joined the Hugent family. In her new role, she provides strategic HR solutions to companies of different sectors and scales, aiming to contribute to their sustainable growth.

She graduated from Okan University in 2008 with a degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies. Since then, she has pursued additional training both in Turkey and abroad, including English teaching, Human Resources Management, and European Union-related programs. Beyond her professional journey, she has been passionate about music from a young age and actively plays both the violin and the piano
