The Industrialization Manager is responsible for all phases of Manufacturing Engineering in Assembly and Injection Molding including development of assembly and injection machines, tooling, and other equipment to support production demands.  Ability to manage projects from conception to installation with successful run off and hand off to customer, while also supporting a culture of Program Management for all projects being led by the industrial team. Participate or lead a multi-disciplinary project team to achieve the internal and external customer needs in product and timing. Creates a culture of improving daily and reducing variation within the current systems or processes. Works to continually improve processes, product quality and procedures to eliminate errors and streamline the manufacturing engineering activity.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a leader supporting a team with people development, priorities of projects and building a team culture
• A minimum of 7-10 years related experience in an Engineering role supporting Manufacturing
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology
• Interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated strong level of organizational skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• CAD or Solid Works experience
• Ability to prioritize, track, follow-up and resolve issues internally and with external sources
• Ability to understand and apply new technologies

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor the Industrial team to support the people development and design, implementation of systems and processes to support the growth of company with new product, machines and processes in both Injection and assembly
• Complete 1:1 meetings and annual reviews with each member of the team to support the people development plan for each team member
• Analyze current manufacturing processes to reduce waste for safety, quality and process efficiency and institutes corrective actions (i.e., equipment, training, work methods, etc.)
• Provides technical assistance and support to the Operations team related to new manufacturing processes and technologies
• Represent company in local, regional and global activities in the network
• Create a culture to balance between outside suppliers and engineering services for work that can be performed in-house
• Ability to travel locally and internationally as required
• Support the APQP teams to achieve successful launches of projects related to responsibilities of industrial and manufacturing engineering roles
• Support QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan development for all manufacturing processes
• Coordinate and/or Support continuous improvements initiatives such as COQ, Efficiency etc for both injection and assembly
• Develop, maintain and improve the processes and standards for all Machine build standards
• Train and support Maintenance and Production on new machine processes
