We're looking for a Supply Chain Director for our customer which is leading in producing energy technology and renewable energy. The Supply Chain Director will be reporting to directly COO.
This role will be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational excellence of the end-to-end supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, and demand & supply planning. This role ensures the alignment of supply chain activities with the company’s strategic goals, focusing on cost efficiency, service level optimization, sustainability, and risk management. The position leads cross-functional teams and drives continuous improvement initiatives to build a resilient, agile, and responsive supply chain.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams across procurement, logistics, and planning.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CANIAS) and supply chain technologies.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to drive data-based decision-making.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor the Purchasing, Logistics, and Planning departments.
- Drive supply chain transformation and digitalization initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics across the supply chain function.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support business growth, cost control, and operational efficiency
- Oversee strategic sourcing, vendor evaluation, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure procurement policies and procedures are efficient, compliant, and ethical.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and secure supply for critical materials.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate risks and opportunities in cost, availability, and quality.
- Manage domestic and international transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks.
- Optimize logistics flows to ensure on-time delivery and minimize transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations, international trade policies, and safety standards.
- Oversee 3PL partnerships and ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Direct demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory management processes.
- Balance supply and demand to optimize inventory turnover and working capital.
- Implement sales & operations planning (S&OP) and scenario planning practices.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, and finance to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks in supply continuity, logistics, and supplier performance.
- Develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity under supply chain disruptions.
- Promote sustainable procurement and logistics practices.
